ブログでは先生たちがどうしているのか？についてもお伝えしました。
そんな中、リアルな講師等の声をお届けするためにインタビューをご紹介します。

How does it feel to be offline and online teacher in HOWDY English Academy?

Feels good to be part of HOWDY. Teaching OFFLINE/ONLINE quite the same only the difference is we do not directly interact face to face with our students on online teaching.
I am happy to be a teacher in HOWDY both OFFLINE and ONLINE. It makes me feel satisfied and am growing professionally.
With the current situation of CRVID -19 global crisis, how does it affect you personally/professionally?
Personally, I enjoyed housed together with my co-workers in the dormitory. Professionally, we have forums/updates every Monday and Friday given the updates, new learning regarding teaching ESL and life values. I am growing as a teacher.
Everyday is a new day. It doesn’t affect much except that we cant go out more often and practice social distancing and personal hygiene.
I have different students to deal with. It increases my ability to be patient and help the students learn to speak English even in a slow pace manner.
How do you encourage your student to learn English at this crisis time?

Considering this difficult situation, how does HOWDY take care of you as a teacher?
We are very well-taken care of. We have good accommodation, simple yet nutritious Filipino food from the cafeteria, vitamins and can buy essential needs in a nearby grocery store with gate pass, face mask and observing social distancing. Its pretty new experience but life changing.
We all enjoy all our work and stay in HOWDY. We have the dormitory, food at the cafeteria, some supplements like vitamins and exercises on weekends/off duty and most of all we have Dr. Tampus to discuss updates and new learnings.
As a final statement, what do you say to your Offline/ONLINE students regarding their desire to come and learn English in HOWDY?
Very soon our dear students in HOWDY, you can come and study again.
We will come up to your expectations, encourage yourself to use your time after this CRVID crisis. English becomes so important to connect to other people.
We are happy to welcome you to HOWDY. If the situation is back to normal, please be with us again and we can help you learn English positively.

Good day Everyone.
Previously, the school is filled in with your presence, good mornings and goodbyes and conversations with teachers along the lobby.
But now, we only have the ONLINE Class and all teachers are busy with their schedules though we still have forums since they are all staying in the dormitory.
We all miss you here in HOWDY!
Just like Japan, we are just ahead of you in weeks to be declared on Lockdown but we still operate ONLINE classes legally with strict implementation of face masks, social distancing and behavior etiquette. It’s a new and life changing experience for all of us.
Feel so much uncomfortable yet we sacrifice so we can eradicate the contagion of the virus by following strictly government mandates.
I believe, this is just temporary.
We will soon be back to normalcy and continue to have classes to all OFFLINE students.
These months SOLITUDE and SEPARATION taught us to value freedom, health, friends, families and acquaintances.
Although at first, it was treated with a mixture of fear and confusion. But now, we get used to it and look forward to having you in HOWDY.

通常のクラスとオンライン英会話の講師としてみて感じることは？
Howdyの一員としてクラスを教えたり、オンライン英会話の講師をしてとても心地良いです。 私たちにとってどちらで教えることもほどんど変わりはありませんが、オンライン英会話の場合は画面上で行われていることだけが違います。
Howdyでオンライン英会話の講師として働くことができて嬉しいです。 満足できるし、なにより成長していると感じています。
世界的なコロナウィルスで何か影響がありますか？
個人的にはHowdyでの寮生活を楽しんでいます。
毎週月・金は講師等が情報共有を目的とした定例会が開かれています。
英語学校での教育や人生の価値について新しい学びがあり、講師として成長しています。
頻繁に外出できないこと、社会的距離を守ること、それに個人的な衛生に気を付けること以外は特に影響はありません。
オンライン英会話の講師として働いていると、様々な生徒さん等の対応が必要になります。
生徒さんのペースに合わせた指導ができる能力が身についてきました。
このような特別なシチュエーションで生徒さんはどのように学習をすれば良いでしょうか。
これは一時的なシチュエーションだと思っています。
自宅で毎日インターネットを使って勉強することができます。
英語学校での教育や人生の価値について新しい学びがあり、講師として成長しています。
いつも生徒さんたちの答えを聞いて、苦労しながら話すことを促しています。
私も前向きなコメントをして勇気づけています。
このような状況下でHowdyのサポートは十分にありますか？
はい、寮での生活やカフェテリアでの食事、ビタミン剤やサプリミント、週末のおやすみ、とりわけDr.タンパスとの会話で新しい学びがあります。
すごくよくしてもらっていますね。
宿泊施設、カフェテリアのシンプルで栄養のあるフィリピン料理、ビタミン剤をもらっています。
通行票、マスク、社会的距離を守りながら、近場の食料品店で本質的に必要なものも購入できます。全く新しい経験ですが生活を変えるものです

皆さん、こんにちは！ 以前、学校には皆さんがいて、ロビーには“おはよう、さようなら”、それに講師たちとの会話で溢れていました。 でも、今はオンライン英会話のクラスがあるのみです。 講師たちは全員が寮で生活をしていて、定例会と仕事で忙しくしています。 皆さんがHowdyにいないので寂しいです。
セブでは封鎖が宣言されました。
でも、私たちはオンライン授業をしています。
マスクを着用して、距離とエチケットをきちんと守っています。
私たちにとって、新しく、生活を変化させるような経験です。
居心地はあまり良くありませんが、でも政府の指示にきちんと従い伝染病を根絶できるよう我慢します。
一時的なことだと信じてます。そのうち正常に戻り、直接授業ができるようになります。
この何か月か孤独で離ればなれですが、自由、健康、友人、家族そして知人の大切さを教えてくれました。
最初は恐れと困惑が入り混じった状態でしたが、今は慣れましたし、Howdyで皆さんとお会いできることを楽しみにしています。
